Women Minority Business Enterprise Clearinghouse (WMBE)
	The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) created the Women Minority Business Enterprise Clearinghouse (WMBE Clearinghouse) to implement guidelines designed to encourage, recruit, and utilize Women- and Minority-owned Business Enterprises (WMBEs). All electric, gas, and telephone utility companies with gross annual revenues in excess of $25,000,000 (and their regulated subsidiaries and affiliates) are required to participate in the WMBE Clearinghouse, and to develop and implement programs designed to increase the utilization of WMBEs in their procurement activities. Procurement goals of 5% for women and 15% for minorities were initially established, and later augmented to include a 1.5% goal for disabled veterans.
Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
	The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is the nation's leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America's corporations. It also is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the United States. Dedicated to enhancing opportunities for women's business enterprises, WBENC works in partnership with women's business organizations located throughout the country to provide a national standard of certification for women-owned businesses.
Diversity Business (DiversityBusiness.com)
